Ava ~ 1 Year session ~ Menomonee Falls

I met little miss Ava out at Old Falls Village the other night for her 1 year session.  She was a hoot!  She would sit in her little purple chair and dance and wiggle and make the cutest little faces, it was hilarious!  So darling.  Here are a few shots from the evening.  We even got Mom and Dad in a few ;)

Hailey ~ Pewaukee High School ~ Lake Nagawicka, Delafield

A few days back I met up with Hailey at the boat docks on Lake Nagawicka for her Senior photo shoot.  It was such a beautiful evening.  There are so many great elements to work with out there.  We especially loved the awesome teal boat that went PERFECT with her teal shirt and scarf!  Ahhh, I love when something like that happens!  As Rachael Zoe would say, "I die".  I found myself thinking that a lot  during her shoot!

"L" Family ~ Menomonee Falls, WI

I was out at Stephanie and Travis's home last week to do a family session with Travis's mom and sister who were in visiting from Oklahoma!   It was a hot, sticky evening but everyone did great considering!  If you haven't noticed, this preggo mama does not like the heat!  :)  I had a great time with them though, I could tell they were going to have a great week together!

Taylor ~ Pewaukee High School ~ Downtown Waukesha

Last week I met Taylor in downtown Waukesha for her Senior Portraits.  I used to live right down there but I've never done a senior shoot there, so it was fun to walk around and explore new and fun spots for Taylor.  It was great because it's right on the river so we were able to work with the water and a park-like setting as well as the urban feel with buildings and their great character!  Here is a preview of our evening!

Brooke ~ Newborn ~ Pewaukee, WI

I had the great privilege of meeting little miss Brooke last week.  Her parents Logan and Kari were one of the first weddings I ever shot, and now I'm getting to photograph their little girl.  How incredible!  Although, like most newborns, she was not buyin what I was sellin.  It's like they can sense something is not right, and just can't quite relax enough to sleep.  The only place she truly found solace was in her mommy's arms which was super precious actually.  I mean just look at that smile right before she faded off into dream land...and I had to post a pic of those big beautiful newborn blues!

Abbey ~ Pewaukee High School ~ Menomonee River Parkway/Old Falls Village, Menomonee Falls

Last week I met up with Abbey at two beautiful parks in Menomonee Falls.  It was a perfect evening, almost downright chilly, which I'll never complain about, especially when I'm pregnant!  We started at Menomonee River Parkway with the beautiful waterfalls and lush greenery.  We then headed to Old Falls Village with great old historical buildings with so much character and texture.  The flowers are all in bloom and beautiful!  I photographed her brother Aaron two years ago and I've had the privilege to work with a few siblings of other students I shot in the past and I love it!

Abby ~ Pewaukee High School ~ Old Falls Village, Menomonee Falls

Earlier this week I was finally able to shoot Abby's senior portraits out at Old Falls Village her in Menomonee Falls. Her session the week before was called off due to that pesky rain!  But, we had our share of natural elements to deal anyway!  It was super sunny and super windy.  We managed to make the most of it, and here's the evidence below!  The last shot on the bridge took literally all hands on deck to execute. Between Mom standing in the tall grass trying to block the sun, and me trying to hold a ridiculously large reflector and shoot at the same time.  It was quite a site!
