I met Maya in downtown Tosa for her high school senior portraits. I've never shot there so it fun wandering around looking for spots. It's great because it's right near the train tracks, and the river so we had a wide variety of backdrops to work with. Maya was such a natural, the girl knows how to work it for the camera! I'd set her up, and by the end of it she was in completely different pose equally as great! I loved it!

Tony & Tamara's Engagement Session ~ Whitnall Park/Trimborn Farms, Hales Corners
Last night ended up being a beautiful evening for Tony and Tamara's engagement session. We started in Whitnall Park in Hales Corners by the waterfall where they got engaged. So cool! We then decided to head down the road to Trimborn Farms in Grendale. I've never been there, but, I have to say it's one of my new favorite spots! So many amazing old buildings with character galore! I had a hard time narrowing down the photos to share on here because I just love so many of them! These two were so fun and easy to work with, their wedding is going to be great! Stay tuned in August for photos from their wedding!

"Z" Family ~ Old Falls Village, Menomonee Falls
I officially kick started my summer with the "Z" family out at one of my favorite spots to shoot, Old Falls Village. A belated birthday present for Deb (Mom/Stepmom/Grandma) from the family. Portrait sessions are a great gift to give by the way... a gift that will be treasured for lifetimes!
The whole week called for rain all day Saturday, but they really lucked out because, with the sky being grey and suspect all day, the sun finally popped out right before their session and the rain held off until the late p.m. Besides the super humidity we had perfect weather! I had such a blast with this easy going bunch! It was a great way to start the summer! Happy Birthday Deb I hope you enjoy your gift!

Treasure Event ~ Memories in the Making Alzheimer's Association
The theme of the 2nd annual Memories in the Making Treasure Event this year was "a French soiree and arty party". The event was held once again at Cuvee Champagne Bar in Milwaukee's Third Ward. The French soiree came complete with a Mime, CanCan Dancers, a boutique, and fabulous cuisines.
Memories in the Making (MIM) is a program that gives those living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia the opportunity to express themselves through art. The Treasure event is essentially an art auction where they auction off the MIM art, as well at art by local artist inspired by some of the MIM pieces. The last image is an example of local artist, James Hempel, and his inspired piece from one of the MIM pieces being auctioned off live.

Spring Flowers
They are unfortunately all gone now, but it was such a fun surprise to see what flowers popped up in our yard this year, as this was our first spring in our home. I just wanted to share some of them in their prime!
